Reins optional

The biggest theme of my winter is LEG.

"Fix it with your LEG."

"You will get it from your LEG."

"Left LEG."

"Right LEG."

"Apply the LEG like medicine."

"The LEG must massage the rib cage like a physiotherapist would."

So on my non-lesson days, Claude and I have been practicing our neck rope skills. We are doing well getting left and right flexions with no reins. I have been warming up with the rope then trying to pick up the reins ever so delicately and loving the feel of riding the whole body of the horse with my whole body. Look ma, no hands!

Very exciting (in a dressage nerd sort of way).
